Environmental Programs

Come to Camp Adahi, where the trails are ready, the lakes are stocked, and your students will enjoy the excitement and adventure of the great outdoors!

Join us for one day or overnight, but make sure you get in on the fun!

Our Program

Camp Adahi staff will visit your students for three 40 minute sessions prior to their trip to camp. During these sessions, your students will learn about Adahi and its environment with lessons derived from our Ranger (outdoor self-reliance) program.

Upon the completion of the Ranger sessions, the Environmental Program will culminate with your trip to Camp Adahi!

Sample session lessons include:

  • Simple First Aid and First Aid Kit
  • The “Buddy” System
  • Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
  • Endangered—it is in your own backyard
  • Mother Earth in 2007

Whether you select a day or an overnight visit, it will be an experience they won’t soon forget!

Day Visit

The day will be jam-packed with outdoor experiences. That is because Camp Adahi is centered around our natural environment and the lessons it can teach us.

The day begins at 9 am, where your students will participate in Nature Crafts, Canoeing, Fishing (rods not supplied), and try out the “Buddy System” while hiking on our many trails and Obstacle Course.

Included in the Day Package

  • Morning Snack and Lunch
  • All program materials
  • Craft supplies
  • Adahi Souvenir

Camp Adahi Staff will be present to direct all program activities.  Please remember that your school must send one staff/volunteer for every 20 students.

Overnight Visit

Take our great day visit package and add an overnight experience at Camp Adahi.

Your students will sleep in cabins, covered wagons and platform tents. Each sleeping area includes a twin- sized cot and mattress.  Our facilities also include flushing toilets and real showers!

After a home cooked meal on the fire, the evening activities will include a visit from our professional storyteller, campfires and of course, S’MORES!

All evening activities will be supervised by Adahi Staff.  Your school must maintain the one staff/volunteer for every 20 students ratio during the evening and overnight hours.

After a cooked breakfast and bunk inspection, morning activities will resume until your departure that day at 1 pm.
